“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something” – Barack Obama

The August of 2018 saw a huge catastrophe hit many in the sister state Kerala as the continuous downpour, coupled with series of events, led to what was one of the worst Flood experienced in the history of the state. As humanity joint hands and stepped in to rigorously lift the state, we played our very own role in it.

The NSS unit of Krupanidhi Group of Institutions came together as one, acting as a binder to substantiate the efforts put by each individual in the institute. In four days of time, the students and staff from the institute were able to make collections in terms of food, clothing, basic amenities and medicines that were sent to the Idki district in Kerala with the help of selfless volunteers from Malyali Samamjh ( Varthur) and Mount Carmel Church.

The NSS unit is grateful and proud of everyone involved in the cause. The humane efforts made, especially the student volunteers who relentlessly worked around to ensure we gathered materials of need and were able to systematically have them transported, is beyond any praise and gratitude. It is at times like these that we know we are filled with compassion and will continue to do so.
