World AIDS Day 2018 Spreading SMILES at Sneha Care Home
On 1st of December 2018, the NSS team of Krupanidhi College of Pharmacy with its volunteers visited Sneha Care home, an orphanage which houses HIV infected children. The Ambedkarnagar branch visited by the team houses kids between 05-13 years of age. The main agenda of the visit was to spend some time with those special kids and smile a little brighter and laugh a little louder with them.
The two hours that we spent with the kids was magical. It was a very exceptional experience for the NSS team as they mingled with the kids singing, dancing and playing along with them. Surprise gifts and chocolates were distributed that made their eyes brighten and hearts lighten even more. There was so much to learn from these little angels and we imbibed as much as possible.
We left the Care Home with a decision to be back again. The kind of love that was showered upon could only make one more kind, more humble and more empathetic. We realized that the world needs those kids a little more than they need us.
